Julie Clements
Julie joined the Ocean View team in fall of 2005. She has degrees in Anthropology and Ecology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She came to
Monterey from Fairbanks, Alaska where she was a dog-mushing guide and handler for three years. Her last year in Alaska she worked as an emergency veterinary technician. She also previously worked as the logistics and office manager for a rural veterinary service in Alaska. She enjoys spending time with her dog, Frog and her husband, Nathan.
Jenny Everts
Jenny has been an assistant at Ocean View since 2004. She is a local from the Monterey Peninsula. Jenny has an associated degree in art from the Monterey Peninsula College. Jenny has over 20 years of experience assisting and handling in small animal veterinary clinics. Animals have been her passion since she was a child. Jenny and her sister even started their own pet sitting business when they were 10 years old. She was born and raised on the Monterey Peninsula. She provides Ocean View with experience, added humor and chocolate treats!

Frank Oliaro
Frank has an interesting background working for the Department of Agriculture in the veterinary diagnostic services department for almost a year prior to working with us. He specifically worked in the necropsy lab and assisted in histopathlogy, serology, and bacteriology. He additionally has done field work with rodents and lagomorph's (bunnies). Frank is a graduate of the University of New Mexico with a B. S. in Biology. Originally from New Mexico, Frank has moved to the Monterey Bay for the pursuit of marine mammalogy studies and of course to work at Ocean View!

Melissa Rowlett
Melissa is one of newest team members. She began working with us in November 2007. She has been working as an assistant in small animal practices since 2002. She has studied dairy and animal science at Penn State, she is a certified veterinary assistant, and is currently enrolled in the Cedar Valley College distance education veterinary technician program. Originally from Pittsburg, PA, Melissa has lived in Pensacola, FL, and Blufton, SC. She brings experience and enthusiasm for veterinary medicine to our team and a special interest in endocrinology.
Suzann Sillesen
Greta Stearman
Greta is from upstate New York. She graduated with a BA from college of Saint Rose, Albany, NY in biology 1994 . She interned in Florida at the Theater of the Sea in 1993, where she worked with captive marine animals including dolphins, sea lions, lemon sharks, three species of sea turtles, bat rays, and other vertebrates and invertebrates. Her second internship took her to Maui in 1995 with the Pacific Whale Foundation. There she assisted researchers in data collection of the humpback whale. Then in 1996, she drove from New York to California with her large shepherd husky mix, Max, to demand that the Monterey Bay Aquarium hire her. There she worked in the sea otter research and conservation program for a total of eight years. "Absolutely, some of the most rewarding work I've ever done. I cared for intensively, sea otters of all ages and ailments. Very cool stuff." In 2004, Greta joined the great crew at Ocean View for more animal experiences in the terrestrial sense. She spends most of her time off hanging out with the coolest dog ever, Clyde, a cheetah/antelope mix and her partner in crime, Miles.
Lori Zaknich
Lori has worked at Ocean View for over 5 years. She is an assistant and receptionist. Lori has many talents including being a wonderful artist. She will continue attending school this fall to follow her dreams as a painter, drawer, and photographer.
